I was recently sent a jar of SchoolHouse Kitchen Horseradish Dill Mustard to play with and share on Foodzie.com. The task at hand was to create some food, blog about it and then stuff my face (well, that’s my addition). The mustard was so delicious that I OCD’s it and made three things. Here is one of them. Expect two more mustard-loving posts…
Ham on Pretzel with Mustard, Pickle and Chip.
(Disclaimer: This is a sandwich to eat, not to make sweet love to)
I used Amy’s Bread cause you know, I’m just not going to make my own Pretzel Bread if someone out there has already perfected it. I mean, come on. I pinched this loaf from the new Stinky on Smith. By the way, I love this store? But my ass is cheap and not always willing, but I digress.

So look: toasted pretzel on top and bottom, tons of mustard, one slab of thick cut smoky ham, thinly sliced dill pickles and some crispy kettle chips. And that’s kinda it. I know it’s not the most complicated or surprising shit out there, but when you are working with top ingredients, sometimes it’s best to keep it simple. Am I right?
Oh and by the way, if you like good soul music and delicious treats like Flank Steak with Homemade (put the whole thing in my mouth) Harissa, Eggs Artichoke (amazeballs), or some Spicy Almond-Butter Noodles (to knock your tits off), check out Turntable Kitchen, my new favorite happy place.
WARNING -> They are a cute mess of a married couple that share the blog and embody perfect so if you aren’t into things that are sweet, stay here.
Stay tuned for Part 2 and 3 of the Mustard Extravaganza if you like things that are good.
And if you want to taste some SchoolHouse Kitchen goodness without committing, I hear they are going to take part in Foodzie’s April Tasting Box which includes some of Foodzie’s hottest products as a sampler kit. How much fucking fun is that.
